Bridge Gigabit fiber to a 10/100/1000 Mbps copper network and power 802.3af PoE gear on the copper side at the same time. This Black Box converter links copper to multimode fiber, an economical way to extend Ethernet well past the 100 meter (327 ft) copper limit.
It doubles as power sourcing equipment for PoE devices on the copper side, sending data and 48 VDC power over existing UTP. That makes it ideal for security cameras and wireless access points where outlets are inconvenient or costly to add. Power management includes overcurrent protection, undercurrent detection, minimum load sensing and per-port PSE power enable/disable. It is RoHS compliant.
