The Ciena 5164 is a 1U router for 5G fronthaul, midhaul and backhaul networks, not a network adapter. This bundle includes 32 x 1/10/25G SFP28 transceivers, 4 x 100/200G QSFP-DD transceivers and dual DC power supplies at 48 V, drawing about 290 W. It supports FlexEthernet and Segment Routing network slicing, MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF and EVPN, with a built in GNSS receiver for timing and an extended temperature range. Management includes CLI, NETCONF/YANG and SNMP, with RADIUS and TACACS+ login.
