The EMP Gen 2 collects temperature and humidity readings inside rack enclosures so you can monitor them remotely by SNMP or web browser, 24/7. Each probe has one temperature, one humidity and two dry-contact data points, works with select Eaton UPS systems and PDUs, and has a translucent case with an LED that shows sensor status at a glance.
Each module accepts two extra contact sensors, and you can daisy-chain up to three probes per host for up to six devices, such as water leak, door contact, vibration and smoke sensors. You get live status by SNMP or browser, alarm emails and custom shutdown and load-shedding rules for long power outages.
Mount it almost anywhere on or near the rack using nylon fastener points, magnets, cable tie slots or keyhole slots. Tie wrap options for front and rear door perforations let you measure intake airflow at the top, middle and bottom of the rack.
