A 50 meter (164ft) aqua laser-optimized multimode fiber (LOMMF) patch cable with LC connectors on both ends, built for 10Gb Ethernet. It is OM3 rated and reaches up to 300 meters at 10Gb over the 850 nm window.
This 50/125 µm fiber offers close to three times the bandwidth of standard 62.5 µm multimode fiber and performs nearly as well as single mode cable for far less money. It makes 10Gb serial transmission over longer distances possible at 850 nm, where affordable VCSEL (vertical cavity surface emitting laser) sources keep high-bandwidth links cost-effective.
The low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacket is backward compatible with existing 50/125 fiber setups, and the cable is a great fit for LANs, SANs and high-speed parallel interconnects in head-ends, central offices and data centers. Tripp Lite backs it with a lifetime warranty.
