Use this medical-grade isolator wherever medical gear plugs into a non-medical computer or Ethernet network. Standard copper Ethernet cable can carry harmful leakage current, and this isolator blocks it to keep patients and staff safe while 10G data keeps flowing at full speed.
It is intended for medical to non-medical links that carry no essential performance function, and its suitability has to be checked in the final installation. Typical uses include linking a clinic network to the PC of a long-term EEG system or connecting an analysis computer to a consulting room with an EMG station. It works with patient monitors, imaging systems, infusion pumps, medical PCs and lab analyzers, plus switches and servers that need galvanic isolation, and its RJ45 ports take any standard Cat6 cable.
It meets IEC 60601-1 and EMC/IEC 60601-1-2, so it can be used in patient care areas. Note that only network components that comply with IEEE 802.3 or 802.3ab can be connected, not telecom devices or power supplies. It has one female RJ45 port and one male RJ45 plug on a 6 inch cable, needs no software or external power, and is TAA compliant for GSA Schedule and other federal purchases.
