The Fluke 87-5 is part of the 80 Series V, which keeps the classic 80 Series operation while adding more troubleshooting power, safety and impact protection. It is independently tested to ANSI/ISA S82.01 (2nd edition) and EN61010-1 for CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1000 V, and withstands impulses over 8,000 V. It is an electrical meter rather than a network tester.
