The HPE 631681-B21 is a 2GB Flash Backed Write Cache (FBWC) module for P-series Smart Array controllers in HPE ProLiant Gen8 servers. It belongs to the G8 Performance cache family and uses DDR3 memory. When power drops, super-capacitors keep the module running long enough to copy cached data onto its onboard NAND flash, so there is no cache battery to service or replace.
