The HPE 875242-B21 is a 96 watt Smart Storage Megacell Battery that supports up to 20 devices, made for HPE Synergy Gen10 compute modules and supplied with a 220mm power cable. It is a rechargeable lithium-ion, low-halogen central backup source. If the server loses power unexpectedly, it keeps HPE Smart Array Gen9 and Gen10 performance RAID (P-class) controllers running long enough to save their write cache to flash. It also backs up HPE NVDIMMs, letting data still in DRAM move to non-volatile NAND flash. One battery covers the whole server, since it can support several devices.
