It spins at 10,000 RPM, uses the 2.5 inch SFF (small form factor) format and connects through a dual port SAS 6Gb/s interface. The drive is hot swappable, so it can be installed or replaced while the system keeps running.
SAS is designed for data center duty, where storage has to stay online around the clock and serve many users at once.
