Add 300 GB of storage to HPE ProLiant Gen8 and Gen9 servers and storage arrays with the HPE EF0300FATFD-SC. This 3.5 inch LFF (large form factor) drive runs at 15,000 RPM over a SAS 6Gb/s connection. The drive is hot swappable, so it can be installed or replaced while the system keeps running. It comes mounted in an HPE Smart Carrier.
SAS is designed for data center duty, where storage has to stay online around the clock and serve many users at once.
About the Smart Carrier: status icons and an animated ring on the tray show what the drive is doing, a blue locator light can be turned on remotely so you pull the right tray, and a warning icon on the release button lights up if removing the drive would lose data.
