About the Smart Carrier
HPE drives mounted in smart carriers give you a direct view of key status and management details. Status LED icons plus a rotating activity ring that tracks write activity show the drive's current state at a glance. A blue locator LED behind the handle can be switched on remotely to point technicians to the right drive bay, and a do not remove icon on the eject button lights up whenever pulling the drive would lose data.
