The Lantronix EDS4100 (ED41000P0-01) is a 4 port external device server that brings serial equipment onto the network for secure remote access and management. It has two RS-232 DB-9 ports, two RS-232/422/485 DB-9 ports and one 10/100 RJ-45 port with PoE, so it can run without a power supply (none is included per the quick specs). It runs Lantronix Evolution OS on a 266 MHz processor with 32 MB SDRAM and 8 MB flash, supports full or half duplex, and offers SSH v2, SSL 3.0, AES, 3DES and ARCFOUR encryption. Management is by web, Telnet and SNMP v2, with DHCP, BOOTP and ARP support.
