The Lantronix ION S4120 (S4120-1048-NA) is a standalone media converter, not a network adapter. It links a 10GBase-T RJ-45 copper port to a 10G SFP+ slot, so copper and fiber segments can be joined using SR, LRM, LR, ER or ZR optics. It is manageable and firmware upgradable, with auto-negotiation, auto MDI/MDI-X, link pass through, loopback and a DIP switch for setup. It runs from an external power adapter at about 10.5 W, operates from 0 to 50 °C, and is TAA and NDAA compliant.
