This media converter changes 10/100/1000Base-TX (RJ-45) copper to 1000Base-X fiber through an open SFP port, so you can choose SX, LX or BX modules. It is an affordable way to push your network past copper's 100 meter limit.
As AC/DC powered Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE), it combines data from the fiber link with 48V power (30 W max) and feeds IEEE 802.3at powered devices over CAT5 or better UTP up to 100 meters (330 ft). A single-port PSE controller handles device signature sensing and power monitoring, with overcurrent protection. Link Fault Pass-through (LFP) watches both the fiber and copper receive ports and shuts off transmit on the other side if a signal drops.
