This media converter changes 10/100Base-TX copper (RJ-45) to 100Base-FX fiber over multimode cable with SC connectors at 1310 nm, reaching up to 2 km. It is an affordable way to take your network past copper's 100 meter limit.
As AC/DC powered Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE), it combines data from the fiber link with 48V power and feeds IEEE 802.3af powered devices over CAT5 or better UTP up to 100 meters (330 ft). A single-port PSE controller handles device signature sensing and power monitoring, with overcurrent protection and Link Fault Pass-through (LFP).
