It works as a wavelength converter between 1310 and 1550 nm, 1310 and 850 nm or 850 and 1550 nm; as a mode converter between multimode (850 or 1310 nm) and singlemode (1310 or 1550 nm); and as a fiber converter between single-fiber and dual-fiber links.
