The QSFP40GPC05M is an MSA compliant QSFP+ direct attach copper cable that is designed, programmed and tested for 40G networks, and it works with switches that accept MSA uncoded modules. This passive twinax cable carries 40 Gigabit Ethernet between QSFP+ ports and gives you a lower-cost option than a fiber setup.
It is hot-swappable, so you can upgrade or replace it with minimal network downtime. Low power use and low latency make it a good fit for short in-rack or across-rack links between switches and servers.
