Its hybrid design combines fiber optic cores with copper conductors: low-bandwidth signals such as EDID, HDCP and eARC travel over copper, leaving the fiber free to carry high-bandwidth 8K video. Fiber cores and shielded copper together keep EMI low for a clean signal over long runs. The cable supports HDMI 2.1 features including up to 48Gbps bandwidth, 8K 60Hz / 4K 120Hz / 1440p 240Hz, HDR10+ with 12-bit processing, eARC for uncompressed 7.1 and 32-channel audio, DSC 1.2a, Forward Error Correction and HDCP 2.3, and works with HDMI 2.0/1.4/1.2 devices. A CMP-rated jacket with low smoke and flame characteristics suits ceilings and in-wall runs. Aramid strands reinforce the fiber core, which is rated for over 6,000 bends at 120 degrees, and the slim 4.6 mm (0.18 in) outer diameter fits tight spaces.
