This 2 meter (6.6 ft) StarTech.com aqua patch cord uses 850 nm laser optimized multimode fiber (LOMMF), OM3 grade, with a 50/125 micron core and LC connectors on both ends. It delivers fast, high bandwidth transfers on 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel networks and is a natural pick for runs between backbone switches, hubs, routers and other high end network equipment.
The low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) flame retardant jacket limits smoke, toxicity and corrosion under high heat or fire, so it suits industrial sites, central offices, schools and homes where building codes apply. An aramid sheath surrounds the fiber, which is optimized for an effective bandwidth of at least 2000 MHz·km at 850 nm with a VCSEL source. Each cable is individually tested for signal integrity.
