This 1 meter (3.3 ft) StarTech.com OM5 duplex patch cable supports 40G and 100G networks. It handles SWDM (short wavelength division multiplexing) across an extended 850 to 953 nm VCSEL range, which improves signal quality and capacity compared with OM4.
Precision ceramic ferrules keep the fibers aligned for low insertion loss, and the UPC polished LC connectors improve return loss over older PC polishing. The bend insensitive fiber sits in a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacket, and the cable suits switches, servers, SANs and SFP+, QSFP+ and QSFP28 gear.
