This 3 meter (9.8 ft) StarTech.com simplex patch cord carries one strand of OS2 9/125 µm single mode fiber with UPC polished LC connectors on both ends. It supports 40G and 100G networks and bidirectional (BiDi) transmission over a single fiber, and it handles CWDM across an extended 1260 to 1625 nm range.
Use it with single fiber devices such as simplex patch panels, single fiber SFP transceivers and fiber NICs, or anywhere a low fiber count point to point link makes sense. It is backward compatible with OS1. Ceramic ferrules keep insertion loss below 0.3 dB, and the bend insensitive core sits in an aramid reinforced low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacket with molded strain reliefs. It is a good fit for space constrained installs that need a minimal fiber count.
