The StarTech PEX8S1050 gives a desktop PC eight DB9 RS-232 serial ports from one PCI Express x1 slot, through an 18 inch DB62 to 8 x DB9 breakout cable. It uses a 16C1050 UART with a 256 byte FIFO, runs at up to 921.6 Kbps per port and has 15 kV ESD protection. It connects printers, scanners, card readers, PIN pads, modems and industrial controls, and is TAA compliant. The title says Windows only while the spec also lists Linux, so please confirm your operating system.
