The Topaz A-ETH1-1 is a serial to Ethernet converter, not a PC network card, that connects a Topaz RS-232 (DB-9) device to a 10/100 network. Once its drivers are set up on the server, it creates a virtual COM port there, so SigPlus signature pad software can use the pad over the network without going through the client PC.
