A latching DisplayPort male plug sits on one end and an HD15 (VGA) male plug on the other, so no extra adapter or second cable is needed, and you can keep using an existing VGA screen. Active conversion handles Single-Mode as well as Dual-Mode (DP++) output, which makes it suitable for graphics cards that do not output DP++.
