Keep using the VGA screen you already own: this active converter cable (P566-015-VGA-A) takes the HDMI output of a PC, set-top box, Blu-ray player or similar device and feeds it into the VGA port of a monitor, TV or projector. An attached 3.5mm plug carries audio to compatible mini stereo speakers. This 15 ft cable supports HD resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz and needs no software or drivers. Should more power be needed, a USB Micro-B port on the cable can be linked to a computer or USB wall charger using a separately purchased cable. The low-profile HD15 connector fits neatly in tight spaces. Foil and braid shielding guards against EMI/RFI, and the gold-plated HDMI connector maximizes conductivity. Backed by a 3 year limited warranty.
